Plot Math Functions Using Google

Anda, para math lovers, boleh bergembira.  'Mbah' Google telah mengumumkan perluasan layanannya dengan mengintegrasikan fasilitas plot grafik fungsi matematik ke dalam mesin pencari andalannya.

Awali dengan perintah plot atau graph, lalu masukkan fungsi-fungsi yang hendak diplot.  Dalam sekejap Google akan menampilkan grafik fungsinya.

Berikut contoh plot grafik fungsi-fungsi sederhana (perhatikan, sintaks input tidak ketat).

Di bawah ini adalah grafik "fungsi cinta" yang ditembus sebuah garis lurus,

$$\sqrt{\cos (x)} \, \sin (300 x) + \sqrt{|x|} - 1, \; x-0.5$$ 

Salinlah perintah berikut ini di Google.

Jika anda ingin melakukan komputasi lanjut secara daring (online), anda dapat mencoba Wolfram Alpha yang menggunakan Mathematica sebagai mesin komputasinya.

Good news for you, the math lovers. Google has announced its new service by integrating a facility that allows users to plot graphs of mathematical functions in its search engine.  Simply, start with the command plot or graph, and type the functions to be plotted using simple syntax. Google will display the graph functions in a wink.

Here are the graphs of some basic functions.

plot cos x, x/5, exp x

Below is a graph of the "love function" that is penetrated by a straight line.

$$\sqrt{\cos (x)} \, \cos (300 x) + \sqrt{|x|} - 1, \; x-0.5$$ 

Copy the next command, and paste it into Google.

graph sqrt(cos x) sin(300 x) + sqrt(abs x) - 1, x - 0.5, from -2 to 2

If you want to do advanced computation online, you can try Wolfram Alpha that use Mathematica as its computational engine.
